In the movie Azaad, Ajay Devgn's nephew Aaman Devgan and Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani starred in their Bollywood debut. But in a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Siddharth Nigam's mother, who is also an actor, said that Aaman was initially chosen over Siddharth.

According to his mother, Siddharth Nigam was replaced by a celebrity youngster in Azaad.

"I took him along for the meeting," said Siddharth's mother when discussing nepotism and losing jobs to celebrity children from an outsider's perspective, recalling that he was replaced by Aaman in Azaad. We waited a year and the whole story was told. The movie was excellent, which made me happy because it would have given Siddharth a fantastic start in Bollywood. The screenplay was great. However, after two years, Siddharth surprised me by showing me the poster for Azaad and saying, "Mum, this has been released, and these are the people in the film." We subsequently discovered that Rasha and Ajay Devgn's nephew were the stars of the movie. I felt bad for the first time ever. As a mother, it hurts when things like this happen. Only when I found out that they were both star youngsters did everything change.

"Nobody is to blame," said Siddharth. Because this is the commercial sector, there is no use in wondering why they did it; they must have had their own motives. It's more of a personal experience and suffering. You get your hopes up that something might work out. We wait a whole year before seeing the teaser. Hence, after seeing it, we just thought, "Oh, okay." "Let's go on," I said.

Regarding Azaad

Ajay Devgn and Diana Penty star alongside newcomers Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani in the historical action drama, which was helmed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor. The movie made only ₹8 crore globally and garnered mixed-to-negative reviews from reviewers.
