Working with Rajinikanth on her next picture, Coolie, was an eye-opening experience for Shruti Haasan. Beyond the celebrity's famous persona, she acknowledges that she was able to see a different side of him.

Rajinikanth is the subject of Shruti's work.

When she joined Ranveer Allahbadia for a podcast on his YouTube channel, Shruti discussed her experience working with Rajinikanth.

Shruti spoke about her upcoming film Coolie, which she is working on with Rajinikanth, saying, "My father (Kamal Haasan) and he are like two pillars and faces of Tamil cinema. People inexplicably believed that I would have grown up around him since I always knew him via the media. Through the lens of my father, I knew him as the celebrity, but it was quite fascinating to get to know him via the film production.

"He has a one-of-a-kind combination of qualities; he is astute and intelligent," she said. However, he is also really kind, and I even told him that he was a pleasure to chat with. He doesn't bring the seriousness with him; he's a really nice and easy person to talk to. Everyone enjoys working with him because he always brings a positive vibe to the set.

The films Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, The Eye, Hi Nanna, and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, all released in 2023, were the last time Shruti Haasan was seen. She is now working on Mysskin's Train, Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie, and H Vinoth's Jana Nayagan.

In addition to Pooja Hegde's special cameo for a song, Coolie features Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj. One of the most anticipated movies of the year is Lokesh Kanagaraj's ensemble picture. The creators of Coolie just released a black and white image of Aamir wearing jeans, a vest, and smoking a pipe to announce that he will play Dahaa in the movie.

In addition to this, Shruti will play her part again in Prashanth's Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam.
