Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om is still a hit with many of his followers. However, were you aware of how difficult it was to film the film's climactic scene, in which Shah Rukh Khan's Om attempts to rescue Deepika Padukone's Shantipriya from being consumed by fire on set? Sham Kaushal, the action director, remembered the shoot of those moments and stated that he was quite concerned about the safety of the entire cast and crew.

Sham was asked about this specific action scenario in the movie in an interview with Hindi Rush. “There were no VFX at that time, so we had to start the fire on that set," he said in Punjabi. The set contained Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, three camera operators, and about sixty members of my squad. As a result, the set that was on fire had 100 inmates altogether.

"I was afraid I would have a heart attack."

"I was very anxious during that shoot, I don't know how to describe it because one had to be cautious," he continued. It was important to extinguish the flame immediately after igniting it. Any error may have terrible consequences. On set, I would often step aside and weep, I swear to God. I thought I would have a heart attack.

Farah Khan directed Om Shanti Om, which came out in 2007. Deepika Padukone made her acting debut in the movie. Aside from the plot, soundtrack, and box office figures, the movie is notable for bringing together a large number of celebrities from the tinsel town for cameos, including Rekha, Dharmendra, Tabu, Shilpa Shetty, and Salman Khan.
