Shalini Passi is in shock after discovering the unexpected passing of her close friend, Sunjay Kapur, who died of a heart attack while playing polo. She recalls that he was consistently eager to play.

Shalini Passi responds to Sunjay's passing

Shalini, from Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives Season 3, expressed her condolences for Sunjoy's death in a short interview with the Hindustan Times, recalling their shared experiences.

"The news of Sunjay's passing is both sad and shocking. It helps us understand how trivial our lives and all the things we take so seriously are. "Everything is gone in a moment," Shalini says to us.

Shalini discloses that she frequently saw Sunjay and his wife, Priya Sachdev, whenever they were in Delhi.

"I've known Sunjay and his family since my wedding, and our families are close." He was a vivacious person. "Whether it was his business or playing polo, he was very enthusiastic about what he did." Shalini, who married businessman Sanjay Passi in the late 1990s, adds, "He was somebody a lot of people looked up to as a role model."

She goes on to say, "I would often see him and his family in Delhi." Whenever I ran into him, he was with his wife, Priya. "I extend my sincere sympathies to them."

Reflecting on her most recent chat with the pair, Shalini recalls, "Sunjay and Priya congratulated me on the success of Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives." They were glad to see me support Delhi in the match. They were both thrilled by it and happy for me. And that's what they had told me.

Sunjay Kapur passes away from a heart attack

Sunjay Kapur passed away Thursday night. He died in the UK of a heart attack he suffered while playing polo, according to an India Today report. He was fifty-three.

Suhel Seth was among the first to announce the death. He expressed his condolences on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, saying, “Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur : he passed away earlier today in England: a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues @sonacomstar …Om Shanti."

Eventually, Vivek Vikram Singh, Group CEO & Managing Director of Sona Comstar, addressed Sunjay's passing on LinkedIn. He stated, "It is an extraordinarily painful duty for me to confirm that our Chairman, and my best friend in this world, Sunjay Kapur has passed away yesterday in the UK. Sunjay lived a remarkable life and was loved by all those who really knew him." Although a formal announcement from the corporation will come later, he was the closest thing I had to a brother in this world, and the void his death has left in my life is inerasable. In this challenging time, may God grant strength to his four kids and his wife, Priya. "Om Shanti."

Sunjoy is thought to have swallowed a bee while playing polo. According to reports, the bee stung him, causing a heart attack. However, further details regarding his passing are still being awaited. His family has not yet issued a formal statement on this matter.

Sunjay was formerly wed to actress Karisma Kapoor. He wed Karisma in 2003 and divorced her in 2016. Karisma and he have two children together—a boy and a girl. Sunjay later wed Priya Sachdev, with whom he has a son. He was also co-parenting Safira, Priya's daughter from her former marriage.
