Following the last-minute cancellation of her Friday night performance at the Alamodome in San Antonio because of alleged structural concerns, Shakira's fans were outraged.

Prior to the announcement of the delay, numerous concertgoers posted pictures and videos of lengthy queueing outside the stadium in sweltering conditions. Fans claimed they were kept outside for hours before being permitted inside.

"One hour in line with temperatures over 32 Celsius (90 Fahrenheit), people fainting and @Alamodome and @shakira doesn’t care at all about the fans," one participant tweeted.

“Worst concert experience ever #shakira,” another person remarked. This audience has been waiting for more than 90 minutes. However, the #alamodome will not let the doors open. Individuals are fainting. Apparently, issues on stage everywhere.

"Alamodome your email for the Shakira concert said doors open at 5:30, instead you have hundreds of people overheating for 30 minutes and counting," wrote a third person.

Live Nation subsequently verified the postponement, saying, "Unfortunately, Shakira's performance tonight has been postponed due to structural problems." Once the new date is revealed, all previously bought tickets will be valid. Ticket buyers will get additional information by direct email when it becomes available. "We regret the trouble."

Following the official announcement, fans took to the internet to vent their anger over the mismanagement, blaming the venue and Shakira's staff alike.

One individual expressed frustration, asking, "How can you cancel on San Antonio at the last minute???? 40,000 people turned away?"

Another person said, "There is some bigger problem happening in @shakira team." If that's the case, why isn't her crew making sure everything is ready on schedule? Why does she occasionally cancel concerts on the day of the performance due to structural problems in certain cities?

Another fan tweeted, “This is just a bad joke at this point. When is @Shakira going to fire her entire team and work with people that are at her level?”
