Since Tuesday afternoon, fans of both superstars have been keenly following the fun banter between the two on platform X (formerly known as Twitter) as they praise each other. It all started with SRK praising Mohanlal’s electrifying performance of Zinda Banda song from Jawan during an award show. But Mohanlal quickly responded that SRK is the OG Zinda Banda.

Now in the latest update from the viral exchange, King Khan has accepted Mohanlal’s invitation to have breakfast with him. In his inimitable style, SRK asked, “Done sir. Your place or mine.”

Mohanlal and Shah Rukh Khan to groove to Zinda Banda over breakfast?

The Twitter thread started between the two superstars after Shah Rukh retweeted a viral video of Mohanlal dancing to the beats of Shah Rukh’s song Zinda Banda. Praising his performance, Shah Rukh wrote on X, “Thank u @Mohanlal sir for making this song the most special for me now. Wish I had done it half as good as you. Love u sir and waiting for dinner at home as and when. You are the OG Zinda Banda!!”

Not the one to be left behind, Mohanlal too wrote back, “Dear @iamsrk, nobody can do it like you! You are and always will be the OG Zinda Banda in your classic, inimitable style. Thanks for your kind words. Also, just dinner? Why not groove to some Zinda Banda over breakfast, too?” Replying to the Twitter thread, Shah Rukh said, “Done sir. Your place or mine?”

Mohanlal danced to Zinda Banda at the Vanitha Film Awards 2024

The original video of the dance performance was shared by a fan account of Shah Rukh that captioned the post, “Superstar Mohanlal mesmerizing the audience with his electrifying performance on ‘Zinda Banda’”

For the unknown, Mohanlal and several other Malayalam stars performed to the song during the Vanitha Film Awards, which was held in Kochi on April 22, 2024. The star-studded Vanitha Film Awards 2024 will be streamed online on Manorama Max.

Zinda Banda is a song composed by Anirudh Ravichander for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan, which was directed by Atlee. The film marked the Hindi film debut of Nayanthara and featured Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra, among others in pivotal roles.
