Air India Plane Crash: An Air India flight to London Gatwick crashed during takeoff from Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon, in what is being termed as one of the worst aviation disasters in recent memory. Shah Rukh Khan, the actor, has responded to the expressing that he is "absolutely heartbroken."

Shah Rukh expressed his devastation over the Ahmedabad crash on his X (formerly Twitter) page, writing, "Absolutely heartbroken with the news about the crash in Ahmedabad… my prayers for the victims, their families and all affected."

Numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Sonu Sood, Kangana Ranaut, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Akshay Kumar, have responded to the shocking event on their social media pages.

Minutes after departing from Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, the Air India aircraft, which was carrying 242 passengers and crew members, crashed in a busy residential neighborhood. Air India announced on X that the Boeing Dreamliner 787 flight was carrying seven Portuguese, one Canadian, 53 British, and 169 Indian people.

"The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us," wrote PM Narendra Modi. It is utterly heartbreaking. My heart goes out to everybody impacted by this tragedy. have communicated with the Ministers and officials who are trying to help those impacted.

Shah Rukh recently walked the Met Gala in a Sabyasachi Mukherjee-designed and -styled ensemble. Dunki was the last film in which the actor was seen.

Shah Rukh will next be seen in King, which will also feature his daughter Suhana Khan. Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma are also expected to be in the cast. The movie's release is anticipated for 2026.
