The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025 is pulling out all the stops to honor one of Bollywood’s biggest icons. India, and Darr—are being screened in a never-before-seen inflatable cinema set up on the lawns of Goa’s iconic Kala Academy. This inventive collaboration between the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), and PictureTime Digiplex is turning nostalgia into a full-blown cinematic experience.

An Inflatable Theatre Like No Other

Imagine watching Raj woo Simran on the big screen while the cool Goan breeze flows around you. That’s exactly what this 30-foot-high, fully air-conditioned inflatable theatre offers. Capable of seating hundreds, the structure uses cutting-edge projection and sound technology to deliver theatre-quality viewing under the open sky. PictureTime, known for bringing mobile digital cinemas to remote parts of India, has partnered with NFDC and ESG to create what they call “India’s largest travelling inflatable cinema.” For IFFI delegates and SRK fans, it’s a dream come true.
