Sathyan Anthikad, well-known for his upbeat yet profound movies, directs the picture. In the Mohanlal-starrer, Sathyan Anthikad has now discussed the possibility of casting Malavika Mohanan.

Sathyan Anthikad, a well-known Malayalam filmmaker, is the director of the heartwarming 2025 picture. In a recent chat with The Cue Studio, Sathyan Anthikad let slip details about his next movie, Hridayapoorvam, which reunites him with Mohanlal after ten years. The more than 30-year age difference between the performers was the subject of much debate when Malavika Mohanan was revealed to be a member of the cast of the Mohanlal-starring film.

Sathyan Anthikad mentioned that Malavika Mohanan portrays one of the female protagonists in Hridayapoorvam.

"This tale is not romantic. Therefore, Mohanlal's heroine is not her, he said, and Sangitha also performs a significant female role. "They are the leading female characters," he said.

In continuing the discussion of the film's plot, Sathyan Anthikad stated that the majority of the action takes place in Pune and that Malavika plays a character that was born and raised there. Despite being Malayali, the protagonist also speaks Marathi and Hindi.

Sangitha is the other lead actress, who is best known to the uninitiated for her award-winning role in the Malayalam movie Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala. This movie was directed by the well-known actor and screenwriter Sreenivasan.

Plans for a Heartfelt Release

In contrast, prior to the Onam holiday in Kerala, Hridayapoorvam is scheduled to be released in theaters in August. However, the creators have not yet given a precise release date. The film features Sangeeth Prathap in a significant part, in addition to Mohanlal, Malavika, and Sangita. Following his portrayal of Amal Davis in the 2024 Malayalam blockbuster Premalu, which starred Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, Sangeeth Prathap became well-known.
