To commemorate the actor's 40th birthday, the debut look of Ranveer Singh's next movie, Dhurandhar, was revealed on Sunday. In addition to Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan, the Aditya Dhar movie is a spy thriller. However, the fleeting glance of the movie's protagonist caught the attention of a lot of viewers. With the movie, the young actress, Sara Arjun, who has been a well-known kid performer for many years, is making her debut as a lead.

Who is Sara Arjun?

The daughter of a former child actor and Raj Arjun, Sara Arjun was born in 2005. She was barely a year old when she starred in her first ad after being discovered in a mall with her parents. She gained notoriety after starring in Deiva Thirumagal, the 2011 Tamil film in which she portrayed Vikram's daughter. She has starred in Ek Thi Daayan, Saivam, and Saand Ki Aankh over the years.

In Mani Ratnam's two-part historical masterpiece, Ponniyin Selvan, Sara played her most significant film role to date in 2022 as a young Nandini. Her greatest accomplishment was the two movies' combined global gross of ₹800 crore. In the film, Aishwarya Rai portrayed Nandini, while Sara played her younger self. Following the success of the films, Siasat and Gulte reported in 2023 that Sara was the wealthiest kid actress in India with a net worth of ₹10 crore in 2022. The mantle fell to Riva Arora after she turned 18.

Sara Arjun in Dhurandhar

Peeping Moon initially reported on Sara's involvement with Dhurandhar last year. "Although her role is said to be relatively small in this male-dominated story, this film (by Aditya Dhar) marks her transition to a lead heroine after years of being known as a child actress in Hindi and Telugu cinema," according to Peeping Moon. In the movie's debut, she is seen in three scenarios: first, she is seen dancing in a club; second, she is seen riding pillion with Ranveer's character; and third, she is seen sharing a dance with him.

Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar produced Dhurandhar, which Aditya Dhar wrote, directed, and created for Jio Studios, a B62 Studios production. The filmmakers have remained silent on the matter, although there have been rumors that the movie is inspired by the life of India's super spy and National Security Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval, who is well-known for his surgical strikes. The movie is, in fact, based on actual events, as evidenced by the first-look video.
