Sara Ali Khan Finds It Painful When Mom Amrita Singh Reads Hurtful Troll Comments
5 months ago | 5 Views
Social media is at the center of the distinction between Sara Ali Khan and her mother, Amrita Singh, when it comes to their respective approaches to fame, despite the fact that they are both performers. "She was a public person at a time when none of this was even pertinent," Sara tells us in reference to social media and trolling. Sara discusses romance, movies, and the evolving nature of audience feedback as we get together for the marketing of her forthcoming movie, Metro...In Dino.
Regarding love and bewilderment
In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, is the spiritual continuation of Basu's 2007 popular film, Life in a Metro. The subject of the novel, which is an anthology, is the difficulties that love encounters in big cities. The narrative centers on the conflicts and doubts that young couples encounter, and Sara and Aditya Roy Kapur are cast as opposite each other. In regards to love, Sara believes the younger generation is sometimes unfairly labeled as "too confused." Before saying with a chuckle, "I wouldn't really know," she says, "The confusion was always there."
Nevertheless, Sara acknowledges that the younger generation does tend to intellectualize and categorize things. I do think that my generation has the urge to analyze, categorize, comprehend, and intellectualize every subject. As they say, "to skin Baal" (to turn a molehill into a mountain). For many individuals in my generation, that poses a little bit of a challenge. Sara is referring to the numerous Gen Z phrases used to describe love, such as breadcrumbing, orbiting, and situationship, and she adds, "Therefore they want to have terms for these things."
Regarding negativity on social media
Due to the constant scrutiny on social media, the actor acknowledges that public figures, such as actors, have found it more difficult to live their personal lives and relationships. However, she claims to have discovered a method to distance herself from it. "I have always been like 'jo bolna hai bolo'," she says, highlighting her 'say what you want' attitude.
However, she is irritated by the meanness of social media: "If I am being honest, I wish I could confiscate my mom's phone, because this X and Instagram is something that she also uses for just fun. Whenever someone says anything bad (about Sara), all I can think is, "Oh God, I don't want my mom to read this." The only thing that hurts is that, she claims.
Although Sara claims to be able to ignore the majority of remarks and has accepted the way that negativity spreads on social media, she is sad to see her mother being impacted by it. "I can totally understand that this is some anonymous, angry person," she says. However, a mother is a mother. The only thing that truly bothers me is that. I wouldn't care if I could ban her from social media!
What makes things worse, Sara claims, is that Amrita ignores those remarks. "She reads and pretends there is nothing. It's the elephant in the room that we ignore. However, I am aware that she has read something depressing. I can tell from her expression even if she doesn't bring it up. I don't feel good, she continues.
