Without Ranbir Kapoor's distinctive long hair and beard, it is difficult to picture his character Ranvijay Singh in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film Animal. However, in an interview with Galatta India, hairstylist Aalim Hakim disclosed that Sandeep was first unsure about the appearance because it resembled Sanju too much.

In Animal, Ranbir Kapoor's appearance failed to persuade Sandeep Reddy Vanga

In the interview, Aalim shared that it required a bit of persuasion for Sandeep to allow Ranbir to have long hair and a beard in Animal. "I don't believe Ranbir's character would have had the same impact in Animal if his hair and beard hadn't been lengthy. It took some time for his character's look to develop," he stated, adding, "Vanga sir initially said the long hair isn't working, he's looking like Sanju. In the Sanjay Dutt biography, he appeared in this manner. I had to persuade him that his appearance will change once his complete attire is complete.

Concerning Animals

Ranvijay Singh wreaks havoc after his father, Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor), is threatened, as recounted in the film Animal. After defeating a large number of foes, he finally confronted Abrar Haque (Bobby Deol), his long-lost cousin. Rashmika Mandanna portrays Geethanjali, Ranvijay's wife, and Triptii Dimri portrays Zoya, his lover. The film ends on a cliffhanger, introducing a new antagonist and a new plot for the sequel, Animal Park. Similar to Sandeep's earlier films, Animal was criticized for its sexist overtones. But the movie was a huge hit, earning Rs 915 crore globally.

The next film starring Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor

In addition to Animal and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar in 2023, Ranbir is now filming Love & War with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ramayana with Nitesh Tiwari. The cop drama Spirit, starring Prabhas, will be directed by Sandeep and begin filming this year. Deepika Padukone was originally intended to play the main role in the movie, but she declined because of concerns about compensation and hours of employment. Triptii took her place in the project.
