The film Garv, which Puneet Issar produced and starred in, was made during a difficult time for Salman Khan as a result of the 2002 hit-and-run incident. Issar, who also directed the movie, has reflected on his time working with Khan. He said that Salman was really upset by what happened.

Puneet discloses

Puneet reflected on the moment he directed Salman in the film Garv: Pride & Honour in 2004 during a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel. When Salman was involved in the notorious hit-and-run incident, it was at the same time.

Salman remained committed to filming even in the face of intense media attention and the upheaval of a court struggle, refusing to allow outside pressures to impact his work.

Puneet Issar described Salman's state of mind at the time, saying that the actor was upset, but his family persuaded him to concentrate on his job. He even remembered his chat with Salim Khan, Salman's father and a screenwriter.

"The man (Salman) was clearly upset," Puneet said. In the end, his relatives made the decision that he should begin working and give it his full attention. According to Salim sahab, Salman should only work during that period of his life. This was a group choice made by Salim Sahab's family, and he instructed me to advise Salman to keep himself occupied at work. That's what he did since it was the right thing to do.

Salman's devotion to his work, despite the intense public scrutiny and speculation, was even brought to mind by Puneet. "On set, his morale was really high," he said. He's a pro. He stays in his comfort zone and would exercise and shoot there.

What do we know about the hit-and-run incident?

In 2002, Salman was charged with killing someone in Bandra by running over pavement residents with an SUV. He is also said to have been intoxicated at the time. He was accused of committing murder.

Salman was found not guilty by the Bombay High Court in 2015. The 49-year-old actor cannot be found guilty since the "prosecution has failed to prove the charges against Khan on all counts," according to Justice AR Joshi. The Bombay High Court's decision states that there is insufficient evidence to support the allegation that actor Salman Khan was driving the Toyota Land Cruiser while intoxicated.
