Sahil Salathia Opens Up About His Elimination by Elnaaz Norouzi on The Traitors: ‘I’ve Been Hurting for Months’

The first contestant to be kicked off the reality program The Traitors was actor Sahil Salathia, who was chosen for 'murder' by traitors Elnaaz Norouzi, Raj Kundra, and Purav Jha in the premiere episode. Sahil was profoundly impacted by the twist, and he later went on Instagram to share his feelings of shock and disapproval with Elnaaz, whom he referred to as a close buddy.

Sahil Hits Elnaaz Hard

Sahil posted a number of heartfelt videos on his Instagram account days after the episode went live on Amazon Prime Video, accusing Elnaaz of what he believed to be a personal betrayal. He inquired, "What did Elnaaz gain by murdering her best friend of eight years in episode one, over 17 other contestants?"

Sahil continued, "I realize that some people may view me as dramatic—perhaps I am, or perhaps I'm still that emotional kid, and I want to keep that child alive. But it wouldn't have hurt as much if someone else had done it. Fans of the show have begun discussing loyalty and strategy in the high-stakes game as a result of his honest response.

Sahil went on to say, "You have changed me as a person." You've altered my perspective on individuals. And you have succeeded, so congratulations to you. You've experienced defeat in life, but I hope you triumph in this exhibition. Anyone who has this moral compass deserves to win every reality program.

Sufi Motiwala, the online response

Twenty-one-year-old fashion commentator Sufi Motiwala, another contestant on the program, reacted to his article by saying, "Sahil, it's just a game ya." You can clearly see that Raj and Purav overpower her and that she is rejecting it, but darling, it's a game, and anyone would have had to take their friend out to gain trust. I wish you had stayed longer. I truly want everyone to get along (sic)."

Sufi also joked, "And also, your fits kind of shined too hard, so we had to take you out" (sic).

The fans, however, reacted differently to Sahil's explosion. When Karan Johar requested that the contestants select someone they trust the most in the first episode, some viewers questioned why Karan didn't pick his closest buddy, Elnaaz. In the end, Elnaaz was excluded, and Uorfi was selected by Sahil instead.

A supporter remarked, "Then why didn't you choose her in the first place, man?"

"Isn't that the real name of the show 'TRAITORS'?" Another fan remarked, "Bro, you actually got to play the game in real sense." The show's premise centers on betraying someone. I'm not sure what your hopes were when you enrolled in it. "Have a sportsman spirit buddy! (sic)"

Sahil received support from a user, who added, "Hugs for you, brother. Please ignore folks who don't know your worth."

Another person wrote, "I know how heartbreaking it can be - especially when your close ones stab you - but the industry requires thick skin. You are you, and that's your superpower - onwards and upwards. Sending you lots of love (sic)."
