According to a News 18 story, the cast of Anupamaa is making significant changes to the story by selecting Ronit Roy to play the role of the new Vanraj Shah. The departure of actor Sudhanshu Pandey, whose absence caused the character to vanish from the screen, is the reason for this change. Following a generational jump, the program lately experienced a fall in ratings and is now attempting to recover by reintroducing well-known, beloved characters.

Sources say that Ronit Roy will soon be joining the program, taking on the part that viewers have long known as 'Mr Shah.' Meanwhile, Rupali Ganguly is still in the top spot as Anupamaa, who is now utilizing her culinary and dancing abilities to reestablish her life in Mumbai.

The prospect of Gaurav Khanna reprising his role as Anuj Kapadia is also becoming more and more popular. In a recent interview, Gaurav gave the impression that his exit after the leap was merely "a comma," implying a possible return at a later point.

In a separate discussion, Ronit also spoke about the excitement surrounding his alleged reappearance as Mihir in the revival of Ekta Kapoor's legendary series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Ronit affirmed that he will not be a member of the new edition, even if viewers were excited to see him reunite with Smriti Irani's Tulsi.

Ronit stated in an interview with Etimes, "I'm glad that they chose to bring Kyunki back. Sadly, it didn't work for me. However, the program has been really near to my heart. I don't mind coming back to television or performing a series that runs for a long time. Even after 25 years, the television industry still needs a lot of reform. I would be willing to return after those modifications take place. Until then, I'm content with where I am.
