For actor Richa Chadha, the transition into motherhood began with fear, which is frequently portrayed as one of the most significant shifts in a woman's life. The actress was sincere in her recollection of the rollercoaster of emotions she went through upon learning that she was expecting.

'I was a bit afraid,' Richa admits

Richa acknowledged in an interview with Lily Singh that her initial reaction to becoming a mother was one of fear. Her first ideas were laced with worry, not just about the condition of the globe, but also about the profound psychological transformation that motherhood entails.

"I was a little scared." The globe is in the midst of a genocide, climate change, and a lot of garbage. Is it a wise choice to have a kid? That little thing shifts immediately when you are very independent since you have to take care of another person. It is a significant commitment to only provide for a child's nutritional needs for the first six months. I was first afraid. Oh my god, I thought, is this the end of my life?

When she found out she was carrying a girl, that fear morphed into intense protectiveness. "I was like, 'We live in India, I have to buy a gun'," she said, though only half-joking. "But then later I was like, 'No, we will see." She will be raised to be as strong as I am, she continued.

Richa and Ali had a baby girl last year

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's daughter was born on July 16 of last year. In a joint statement, the couple declared, "We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed, and we thank our well-wishers for their love and blessings!" The name of their daughter is Zuneyra Ida Fazal. The pair has opted to keep their child's face out of the public glare for the time being, even if they have shared the joyous news.

In terms of her professional life, Richa's previous role was as Lajjo in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix series Heeramandi. Following the popularity of Fukrey 3, she has committed to a new movie that signals her return to the comedy genre.
