In Mohit Suri's romantic musical drama, Saiyaara, Ananya Panday's cousin Ahaan Panday is prepared to make his Bollywood debut alongside Aneet Padda. Although the movie has been granted a U/A certification, the CBFC has made a number of recommendations for deletions, including the removal of ten seconds of "sensual, intimate, body exposure visuals." Nonetheless, viewers aren't exactly thrilled by the choice.

The creators of Saiyaara were required by the Central Board of Film Certification to make specific deletions and alterations, as per a Bollywood Hungama article. The word "objectionable" was censored and replaced with more "appropriate" words in four instances. Ten seconds of "sensual, intimate, body exposure visuals" were ordered by the board to be removed and substituted by the filmmakers. Additionally, they were instructed to include a static disclaimer about helmet safety in moments involving two-wheeled automobiles.

Reddit users voice their unhappiness with the CBFC

The censorship drew criticism from internet users, with some even proposing that filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga be in charge of the CBFC. On Reddit, a user posted the news, saying, "The Sanskari censor board has no chill." "We will soon see Sandeep Reddy Vanga versus the Censor Board," one remark said. "Vanga for CBFC chairman. Please upvote," said another. One more read, "We need Vanga to counter this madness," while another said, "It's a Certification Board, not a film-cutting board." “Hypocrisy,” a user further remarked, “The same CBFC gave Housefull 5 a U/A certificate."

Concerning Saiyaara

Saiyaara, a passionate love story that marks the first partnership between YRF and Suri, is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films. In the film, Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday are the protagonists. Mithoon, Sachet-Parampara, Rishabh Kant, Vishal Mishra, Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, and Arslan Nizami are responsible for writing the score for the love drama. The movie will compete at the box office when it hits theaters on July 18 with Nikita Roy, played by Sonakshi Sinha, and Tanvi The Great, played by Anupam Kher.
