The movie, which features Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt, is billed as Bhansali's most ambitious undertaking to date. The filmmaker is now raising the stakes, according to HT, by staging one of the biggest scenes in Indian movie history.

Love & War will have a big confrontation between the roles played by Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, according to an industry insider. It is expected that the scenario would be "one of the biggest sequences ever mounted in Indian cinema." We have learned from sources that the sequence is scheduled to be filmed in a huge, undisclosed site, and the preparations have already begun. According to early whispers, the scene is being planned as a complete cinematic spectacle. "This will be unlike anything audiences have seen before, with two powerhouses Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal colliding on Bhansali's canvas," the insider says.

Bhansali has been known for his elaborate sets and sequences on the big screen, such as the jauhar sequence in Padmaavat and the climax of Devdas, which starred Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan. Love & War appears to be about to elevate that to the next level.

The 60s and 70s are the setting for Love & War, which has been called a love triangle during a period of war. According to reports, Ranbir and Vicky play air force pilots. The film had been speculated to be based on Raj Kapoor's cult favorite Sangam, but in a recent interview, the filmmaker refuted this.

In January 2024, Love & War was formally revealed. The signing of the main trio—Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal—was included in the social media announcement. The movie's release date is set for March 2026.
