While promoting season 2 of his Netflix web series Rana Naidu, actor Rana Daggubati was open about his health problems, as he has been in the past. Rana even joked in a Bollywood Bubble interview that he's like the Terminator because he has a "bunch" of transplants.

Given that he is blind in his right eye, Rana was questioned if performing action scenes is challenging. He stated, "The eye has turned into a comedy over the years since I can't see from one side." And it's absolutely hilarious in action. It gets a little chaotic if there's too much dust and I don't wear my lenses. I inform folks that I'm nearly like the Terminator. I have an eye, a kidney, and a lot of other organs transplanted. You guys are almost there; have you seen The Terminator?

He then disclosed that Arjun Rampal was concerned about his eyes during their action scenes. "One part of the take, Arjun kept looking at me and asking me if I’m crying," he said. I thought, "No, man, it's just water; it's not an issue with the eye." He's asking me if I'm crying, and I'm telling him no, dude. "But yeah, that happens," Rana stated.

Concerning Rana Daggubati's medical problems

On the program Memu Saitham in 2016, Rana disclosed that he had a corneal transplant in his left eye and that he was blind in his right eye. "Should I tell you one thing? I'm blind in my right eye," he stated. I can only see out of my left eye. The eye you see is that of another person, who gave it to me after passing away. "I can't see anyone if I close my left eye. I was operated on by LV Prasad (Eye Institute) when I was a child."

He discussed his health concerns at the Synapse 2024 event, saying, "Everyone saw me bulked up for Baahubali." Everyone inquired as to my health, but I didn't want to respond. Living with others in the city was too much for me, and it was difficult. I began to develop into a somewhat unpleasant individual. At one point, I responded to inquiries about my health by saying, "Don't ask about it unless you can donate a kidney or an eye." I wasn't enjoying what I was doing.

In the second season of Rana Naidu, Rana reprises his role as the titular character, with actor Venkatesh, his uncle, playing his father, Naga Naidu. It premiered on Netflix on June 13. The last time Rana was seen was in the Tamil movie Vettaiyan, which was released in 2024.
