Ram Kapoor taken out of Mistry ads
Ram Kapoor and Mona Singh participated in a number of interviews throughout the day last Thursday (June 19) in a Mumbai hotel as part of the media marketing campaign for Mistry. According to rumors, Ram repeatedly made remarks throughout the evening about kissing a male executive from the marketing team for the show, and also suggested that his mother should have gone to bed instead of having him.
According to a JioHotstar insider, his "jokes" were unprofessional in tone and substance. That day, he conducted back-to-back interviews. At one point, he said he feels like he has been "gang-raped" because of the work stress. While one journalist was setting up her microphone, this statement was made.

According to one of the executives, Ram stated, "The clothes are distracting," pointing to the length of his coworker's attire. The quantity of insulting remarks the gang made during the course of the day, all in the name of humor, astounded the other employees, according to one of them.
“When it did happen later that evening, we began listing the offensive things he had said. It wasn't instant, though. He informed one of our male coworkers that his mother should have pretended to have a headache and that he shouldn't have been born. According to the workers, he made remarks about sexual positions.
Ram Kapoor isn't present for Mona Singh's interviews.
After his offensive words, Mona was the only one who participated in the interviews on Friday night. The actor was requested not to participate in the campaign after things got out of hand.
Mid-Day quoted a source from JioHotstar, as saying, “This workplace prioritises dignity and safety. After a complaint was formally raised and the incidents corroborated by eyewitnesses, the leadership moved promptly. The platform wants to distance itself from any behaviour that normalises workplace misconduct. The interviews are being held solely with Mona.”
Meanwhile, Mistry is the official adaptation of the Emmy Award-winning series, Monk. The show is set to stream on June 27 on JioHotstar.
