A child is coming! Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa, both actors, have stated that they are expecting their first child as a couple. The news was shared via a collaborative Instagram post made by the performers on Wednesday.

Patralekhaa is expecting a child

A charming image showed a cradle surrounded by leaves and blooms. The message, "Baby on the way," was written on it, along with Rajkummar and Patralekhaa's names at the bottom of the image. With only one word, "Elated (red heart emojis)," the two performers expressed their feelings.

Farah Khan, a close friend and filmmaker, responded to the news by saying, "Finally the news is out!! I was having a hard time keeping it to myself .. congratulations." In the meantime, a number of industry professionals, such as Neha Dhupia, Sonam Kapoor, Esha Gupta, Bhumi Pednekar, Pulkit Samrat, Manushi Chillar, and Dia Mirza, sent the pair their best wishes on this momentous news.

Rajkummar and Patralekhaa were together for more than ten years before getting married on November 15, 2021. The web series Bose: Dead/Alive and the critically acclaimed movie Citylights are just two of the projects they have collaborated on.

Patralekhaa's most recent role was in the movie Phule, which was produced by Dancing Shiva Films, Kingsmen Productions, and Zee Studios and directed by Anant Mahadevan. The story of Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule's lives serves as the foundation for the movie.

Next up for Rajkummar is Maalik, where he portrays a cold-blooded criminal. Prosenjit Chatterjee and Manushi Chillar are also featured. The movie comes out in theaters on July 11.
