In what could be said as a proud moment in Telugu cinema, megastar Chiranjeevi has been conferred the Padma Vibhushan Award by the government of India today. Ever since has broke out, fans of Chiranjeevi have been jubilant and have started celebrating the same across the world.

Chiranjeevi, a legendary actor in Indian cinema will receive the Padma Vibhushan, the second-biggest civilian award in India. The star hero has been conferred this award for his lifetime achievement and services to Indian cinema in his 40-year-old career. 

Apart from Chiranjeevi, Hindi actress, Vyjayanthi Mala, Venkaih Naidu, Bindeshwar Pathak, and Padma Subramanyam have been bestowed upon this honor.

Chiranjeevi is the second actor after Akkineni Nageswara Rao to win this rare honor. In a career spanning over four decades, Chiranjeevi has acted in over 150 films to date. He started his career with the film Punadhirallu in 1978 and rose to fame with the film Khaidi in 1978. He has already been bestowed with the Padma Bhushan award in 2006.

Chiranjeevi came up the hard way and has no film background. Born to a police constable, Chiranjeevi struggled his way up the ladder and raised to the top despite the likes of ANR and NTR being the numero uno in the industry.

He even ventured into politics and was away from films for close to ten years. He made his comeback with Khaidi No 150 and since then has given big hits in his career. Chiranjeevi is known for his superb dances, action, and also comedy skills.

The star hero also set up a blood bank and serves the needy across the Telugu states. It is a proud moment for the mega family and the fans and Chiranjeevi deserves all the honor as he has worked hard, gave life to many in the industry and has been there for all those needy be it in the film industry or general public.
