Shriya Pilgaonkar has been making headlines (ironically) for her show on journalism, The Broken News S2. The actress plays the role of Radha Bhargav in the series which is streaming on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium. The show is loved by the critics and audiences alike. Shriya is celebrating the show’s success in a simplistic way and going solo. Here’s how she did it…

Shriya Pilgaonkar’s celebrations

Shriya shared two photos of her stepping out after The Broken News 2 became successful on OTT. The actress went simple in a plain white salwar kameez with matching dupatta and juttis. She posed for the photos with a red handbag and black sunglasses. The actress left her hair unkempt for the pictures and shared them as her Instagram stories.

Shriya vs Jaideep on the show

The Broken News as a series is all about Shriya’s Radha Bhargav deciding if she wants revenge from Jaideep Ahlawat’s Dipakar Sanyal for what he did to her. In season 1, Dipakar falsely presented Radha as a terrorist, which led to her arrest. Now that she is back after serving her term, she is filled with angst and wants to take revenge but as a fellow journalist, she’s at crossroads whether to take revenge or keep a level-head. Season 2 presents her decision in the matter.

Praises for the show

The Broken News 2 is receiving praises from all corners. Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahlawat as well as Shriya Pilgaonkar and even Akshay Oberoi, are receiving praises for their performances on the show. Not just that, the concept of the series is being lauded as well, and most believe that the second season is better than the original show, which is the biggest compliment any project with a sequel can get.

The Broken News is now available for streaming on Zee5 as well as OTTplay Premium.
