Not surprisingly, Malayalam film received criticism for the offenses in Kerala society after a string of recent films depicted compelling crime and violence on screen. Top Malayalam actors have wholeheartedly supported the State's anti-drug effort in a move that may somewhat shift the blame away from Mollywood. Prithviraj Sukumaran also expressed his support for the campaign, informing the younger generation that substance misuse has not produced any masterpieces or outstanding films.
Prithviraj Sukumaran cautions young people that "narcotics is a dirty business."
Prithivraj Sukumaran, a well-known Malayalam actor and filmmaker, recently participated in the No Entry anti-drug campaign. In his speech to the students during the event in Kochi, Prithviraj lamented that, to some extent, arts and literature have romanticized the use of drugs.
"There is a fallacy that it is a source of fuel for creative individuals or for creative endeavors." Believe me, it's a lie. There isn't much outstanding literature produced here... There has never been a great movie produced while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. "Several of the well-known authors and filmmakers I know personally quit drinking alcohol when they begin writing," Prithviraj said..
Prithviraj acknowledged that peer pressure has a significant impact on the lives of young people and that students should be aware of what is right and avoid organizations that force them to make the wrong decision. He told the children that life has high aspirations that will give them a greater high.
"I have already informed the people who know me - Narcotics is a dirty business," Prithviraj stated, using a line from his film Lucifer, even as the audience erupted in applause.

"Narcotics is a dirty business," says Stephen Nedumpally, the Mohanlal character in Lucifer, as he fights the attempts to make agreements with the drug mafia. It is one of the film's well-known lines. Murali Gopy wrote this picture, which was directed by Prithviraj.

In the meanwhile, Prithviraj's most recent appearance was in Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer, which he also directed. Following right-wing supporters' objections to certain scenes and characters in L2 Empuraan, the film became contentious.
His upcoming film, Nobody, stars Parvathy Thiruvothu and is directed by Nissam Basheer.
