Hyderabad saw the passing of veteran actor and comedian Kota Srinivasa Rao on Sunday. At the age of 83, he passed away in his Filmnagar home from complications associated with old age. At Kota's last rites, Prakash Raj told the media that not everyone loved him because he was a "sarcastic" man, for which he gave him a sincere tribute.

After paying his final respects to Kota on Sunday, Prakash addressed the media. Prior to joining the Telugu film industry, he said that he used to be moved by the veteran's movies. “When I arrived here, I was fortunate to collaborate with such a special individual on several movies,” Prakash stated.

After that, he spoke honestly about Kota's outspoken and sardonic personality, which not everyone appreciated. "Because he never attempted to please anyone, not everyone liked him. He understood how to portray his role as an actor and wanted viewers to value high-quality movies. He also advocated for the significance of Telugu performers in Tollywood. Although some believed he was jealous of others receiving opportunities, I could see the genuineness of his argument.

Since Prakash is from Karnataka and was a key participant in this discussion, he claimed that Kota supported him in the end. "Someone once brought me up when he said that, but he defended me, saying I learned Telugu, so I belonged here. However, I did encounter his sarcasm at times. "I accepted it joyfully since he had earned the right to do so," Prakash said.

Additionally, Prakash noted that Kota had a "lot of pain" in his life but persisted and never exploited it for personal gain. "Thank you, Kota garu, for everything," he said in closing his tribute. We love you, we miss you.
