Prakash Belawadi, an actor who has spent the majority of his career in Kannada and Hindi films, recently slammed a famous Kannada film business without mentioning its name. In an interview with Just Curious India, he confessed frankly that he is "scared" of them and that they had punished him for refusing to lower his pay at any time.

In his statement, Prakash first described the film industry as "crude" overall, adding that while not every member of Sandalwood is like that, "many" of them are. He also stated that he receives far better care when working in other film industries.

"I worked in a film under a large banner; I won't mention the name since I'm afraid of them. My fear is not if they'll cast me or not," he added. Even if they pay me ₹10 lakh every day for the job, I will never work with the flag. The last portion of my payment was withheld since the director insisted on lowering my rate, but I refused to do so. They dispatched personnel to my vanity vehicle on the final day of production. They ate, threw meat all over the place, drained the water, and shat. It was really hot, and I had to stay outside since the air was so foul.

Pointing the finger at those who finance films from other states, Prakash reiterated that not everyone in the Kannada film business is that 'extreme'. "For example, a Kannada film is quite backward and uncivilized; there is no contract." Your word should be enough if you are a cultured individual. Because Kannada is a civilized culture, it used to be that way. The majority of the manufacturers who do this are not Kannadigas. That's another story if you collaborate with the Rajkumar family; they are very cultured."
