Today marks ten years after the release of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali. The face of Indian cinema was transformed by the epic action picture that SS Rajamouli co-wrote and directed. The movie's cast and crew came together on Thursday to commemorate the ten years since the film's release. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, SS Rajamouli, and MM Keeravani were among those who attended the joyous evening, and the film's official Instagram account published a collection of images from it.
The reunion of Bahubali
In the new photos, Prabhas sported a short haircut and looked sharp in a black kurta-shirt paired with white pants. In one image, Rana is seen grinning and laughing with Prabhas and director Rajamouli while wearing a black shirt. Ramya Krishnan, who portrayed Sivagami, was also there. At the unique gathering, we saw MM Keeravani perform a song.
“10 Years of Baahubali Reunion…❤️” read a lengthy caption. Something that started as a dream grew into something far larger than any of us could have ever conceived. A tale that entered the lives of many people... a trip that brought us closer as a family... And memories we'll never forget. As we celebrate 10 years of Baahubali together, we are immensely grateful to everyone who had faith in this narrative, supported us, and contributed to its success. More than just nostalgic, this reunion brought back a flood of memories from the last ten years. We happily reminisced about all the things that went well, as well as all the potential mishaps that might have occurred but didn't. It's those very times that made Baahubali what it is today.
"But this celebration isn't just ours," the blog post concluded. Anyone who holds Baahubali in their heart owns it. To the memories, the enchantment, and the epic that endures... ❤️ From The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho: "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."
Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia are missed by their fans
The absence of two of the movie's female leads, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, from the reunion was immediately apparent to the audience. "Where's our Devasana?" asked one supporter, while another wished that Tamannaah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty had been present as well. "Missing Devasena.. no matter it's pride to Telugu cinema," one remark said.
On the film's tenth anniversary earlier that day, Rajamouli made a special announcement. On October 31, the two Baahubali movies will be combined and released in theaters as one movie, Baahubali: The Epic.
