In a recent podcast interview, singer Amaal Mallik made headlines when he mentioned a 'negative PR campaign' in Bollywood against actor Kartik Aaryan. In a manner similar to how the late Sushant Singh Rajput was treated, the singer-songwriter claimed that others were attempting to bring down Kartik. The podcast host now claims that, as a result of the disclosure, they have received threats to remove the episode.

What Amaal Mallik stated

Speaking on their podcast with Mirchi Plus, Amaal stated that Sushant passed away because "this industry did something — whether to his mind, his soul, or people around him demoralized him." "And today, you can see that people are trying the same things, directly or indirectly, with Kartik Aaryan as well," he then added. He too has overcome similar challenges—by dancing his way through them—but he has the support and guidance of his parents. He is also a newbie who arrived, performed his role, and engaged in power games; currently, a hundred people are hoping to get rid of him. It's done by everyone, including the major producers and performers.

The podcast's subject matter is threats.

YouTube broadcasted the podcast episode live on Thursday. Gaurav Thakur, the host, posted on his Instagram Stories on Saturday that he had been receiving threats to remove the program. "Because of the disclosures he made, I've been getting threat calls urging me to remove the Amaal Mallik podcast." He stated in his letter that the discussion was 'unscripted and completely impromptu'. He also stated that "this is not a PR move by Kartik Aaryan or his team" and maintained that the podcast will not be removed. Additionally, Gaurav expressed gratitude to the audience for their support of Kartik Aaryan and Amaal Mallik.

The internet reacts

Following the screenshot of his statement being shared on Reddit, where Kartik Aaryan supporters showed their support for the podcast and the actor. "They want him gone so they can run their family business," one remark stated. "What Amaal said is not exactly a secret," another said. Everybody knows that by this point. Nonetheless, there were still a few feathers that were badly ruffled here." "This is scary.. these movie guys are real mafias, bloody jerks you gutsy boy Kartik, May God always protect you and bless you with huge success," one supporter wrote to Kartik.

With the commercial triumphs of the two Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequels and Satyaprem Ki Katha, Kartik Aaryan has had the most successful period of his career over the last three years. Although Chandu Champion failed at the box office, it garnered him great critical praise. With the exception of the underwhelming returns of the action comedy Shehzada, his record has been flawless since 2022. The actor will next be seen alongside Sreeleela in a musical love story.
