The direction of Ram Charan's career was altered by two of his films, Rangasthalam and RRR. The films of Sukumar and SS Rajamouli demonstrated that he was a performer, not simply a celebrity. Furthermore, the performer has generated excitement among his followers with significant assertions about his upcoming film Peddi, which is directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Peddi and Ram Charan
The unveiling of Ram Charan's wax figure at Madame Tussauds took place in London, UK, in May of this year. On the same day as the debut, he went to a fan meet, and a video of his speech has now been posted on social media. Ram asserts in the video that Peddi is the most "thrilling" endeavor he has ever worked on, adding that it is superior than Rangasthalam and RRR. "I hope everyone enjoyed the peek into Peddi," he said. One of the most compelling scripts I've worked on, in my opinion. Perhaps it's more thrilling than Rangasthalam and RRR. Not every movie I make deserves this statement. Therefore, make a note of this today.
About Peddi
Buchi, who made his debut in Tollywood with the successful movie Uppena, is the director of the gritty sports drama Peddi. In Uppena, Krithi Shetty and Ram's cousin Vaisshnav Tej starred in a narrative about love and caste inequality. Venkata Satish Kilaru is the producer of Peddi, which also features Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, Janhvi Kapoor, and Shiva Rajkumar. The movie, which is scheduled to be released on March 27, 2026, has its music written by AR Rahman. In 2024, the movie officially began filming.
This April saw the release of the initial image of Peddi. Ram is seen in the glimpse setting foot on dusty ground to shouts of support. He discusses how he only has one life to live and wants to live it to the fullest while smoking a beedi. He declares, "Edaina ee nela mida unnapude seseyala (I must do whatever I want as long as I'm alive)." Although not much is shown, the film concludes with Ram smashing a cricket ball out of the stadium.
Sukumar's movie, their second after Rangasthalam, has also been given the go-ahead by Ram. It hasn't yet been placed on floors.
