Pawan Kalyan Praises Bollywood Amid South Cinema Debate, Highlights Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’

Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan shared his perspective on the notion that south Indian film is a better representation of Indian culture than Bollywood. He was asked to share his thoughts on the subject during an interview with Organiser Weekly, and this is what he had to say.
Bollywood and South Indian cinema with Pawan Kalyan
According to Pawan, the Indian film industry is united, notably by the moniker Bharatiya Chitra Parishrama. He then discussed how Bollywood went from being rooted to treating culturally-rooted characters with "mockery." “I think every film business has its own unique strength,” he said. Therefore, we are unable to claim that south is representing it better. Perhaps it relied on certain filmmakers who were impacted by globalization in Bollywood during the latter phase. The treatment of culturally oriented individuals started to include a hint of buffoonery. There are definitely some problems there, but that is not the main story.
He went on to say that, despite Bollywood continuing to produce movies like Dangal, their priorities have shifted over time. "Mr Aamir Khan's Dangal represents our culture if you look at it. It is an integral component of our nation and has its origins in Haryana. However, they have lost that connection with the local audience once money enters the picture. The south has less urbanization, and the primary focus of marketing is still on the rural population. The culture of our nation, which is connecting with the West, is what matters, not Hinduism or Islam.

After his Jana Sena Party assisted TDP in winning the elections in collaboration with BJP, Pawan was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of AP in June of the previous year. Since then, he has attempted to finish the movies he committed to prior to running for office.
