Patralekhaa, an actress, is ecstatic to be expecting her first child with Rajkummar Rao, her husband and co-star. She shares that she has taken a hiatus from work to concentrate on caring for her child and is loving every minute of this adventure.

On her pregnancy

The celebrity couple revealed their pregnancy on social media earlier this week. Patralekhaa made an appearance in Mumbai on Thursday and displayed her baby bump at an event.

Over a phone call, Patralekhaa says, "I'm not sure if the news that I'm pregnant with our first child has really sunk in, other than the fact that I'm really exhausted."

The actress shares that she will not be filming for a few months as she opens up about her preparations for the baby's arrival.

She says, "For the next six or seven months, I won't be filming any more. I'm just going to stay at home." Having stated that, it does not follow that she will be absent from her profession.

"We have another infant that will be coming shortly on Netflix. Therefore, we are really thrilled about it. The project's poster will be released in the near future. It's actually a part of our heart and our hard work... The actor says, "We had a dream of owning our own production company many years ago, and it is now becoming a reality. Therefore, this is really unique for us in a number of ways, both personally and professionally."

About Rajkummar's future role as a parent

On November 15, 2021, Rajkummar and Patralekhaa tied the knot after ten years of dating. She was able to observe Rajkummar's parenting style while visiting New Zealand recently.

“Every trip we take as a couple opens up another door for us, and we get to know each other better. I felt Raj would be a fantastic father in New Zealand. He treated me well. He actually made a point of finding out what I wanted to eat. "During this trip, it was reinforced that he is the ideal partner," said Patralekhaa, who, along with Rajkummar, has teamed up with Tourism New Zealand for its #BeyondTheFilter campaign.

While in New Zealand, Patralekhaa was expecting. She will now join Rajkummar in presenting highlights from their journey throughout the nation as part of the campaign's cinematic miniseries, including visits to the historic Sanctuary Mountain, explorations of Auckland's seas, and experiencing the expression of Māori hospitality.

As a matter of fact, Patralekhaa intends to return to New Zealand once the infant is born. She has a sense that the infant will be their "new travel buddy."

“We are thinking that after the baby arrives, we should visit the southern region of New Zealand since we haven't been there yet. Now, that's one of the things on our bucket list. With Rajkummar echoing, "Yes, trying out some more adventure sports," Patralekhaa replies, "Maybe we can do some bungee jumping or something crazier with the baby."
