Parvathy tagged Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in her Instagram Stories. She continued, "Can we now concentrate on the REAL purpose for which this committee was established? The Hindu newspaper published a story on June 3 stating that the Kerala Police had decided to dismiss the cases that had originated from the Hema Committee report, which had described sexual exploitation in the Malayalam film business. The problems faced by women in the Malayalam film industry were brought to light by the Hema Committee report, which contained terrible stories of harassment, exploitation, and abuse suffered by women.

According to the report, female actors in the film industry experience harassment, such as drunk people knocking on the doors of their rooms. In fact, out of fear, several of the ladies hesitated to voice their complaints. Additionally, it stated that there was a dearth of essential facilities like restrooms for women and that junior artists were treated 'worse than slaves in Malayalam film.'
