In the midst of a controversy following Kamal Haasan's latest remark, Pankaj Tripathi, an actor, has answered a question about whether he is a member of Thug Life. Pankaj denied having anything to do with the movie when India Today inquired about his time collaborating with Kamal.

Is Pankaj Tripathi a member of Thug life?

Rumors are untrue, according to Pankaj Tripathi, who claims they are a creation of the internet. "This is false news, it's not the truth," the performer declared. This news was generated by the internet. No, I'm not doing it (This is a rumor that originated online, thus it's untrue). But if the language is Hindi, Pankaj is willing to work in South Indian films.

The actor stated that he should be fluent in the language he is speaking the words in. “Kyunki main gaya tha ek baar Telugu film karne. And I feel really uncomfortable saying the 'ABCD' word. You should comprehend what I'm saying. Although I want to do it, I would rather speak character Hindi so that I can feel at ease in my acting. (I previously attempted a Telugu film, and I felt very uncomfortable even uttering simple lines like "ABCD"). Additionally, I want my character to be able to speak Hindi so that I can deliver a performance that is both authentic and unforced. I also need to comprehend the meaning of what I'm saying.

Concerning the argument over thug life

After Kamal claimed that "Kannada was born out of Tamil," Thug Life found itself in the middle of a dispute. The Karnataka High Court slammed the actor on Tuesday for not apologizing for the statement during a petition hearing for protection for the release of his film Thug Life in the state.

Following the producers' announcement in court that the film would not be released in Karnataka on June 5, the planned date for the pan-India release, the hearing was moved to June 10. Kamal had claimed that his remarks were misinterpreted and that his words were used out of context.
