In a sad sequence of events, Pakistani actress and reality TV personality Humaira Asghar was discovered dead in her Karachi apartment. Her body was found in an advanced state of deterioration, according to law enforcement authorities. Humaira had been residing in a rented flat in a neighborhood known as Ittehad Commercial. The Pakistani entertainment industry has been stunned by her unexpected death, and numerous famous people have expressed their sorrow and sympathy on social media.

Humaira Asghar was who?

Humaira Asghar was a Pakistani reality TV personality, model, and performer. She was born in Lahore and studied visual and performing arts at the National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore and the College of Art & Design (PUCAD). She started her modeling career in 2013 and eventually moved to television, where she starred in shows like Laali, Benaam, Chal Dil Mere, and Sirat-e-Mustaqeem.

Her first film, Jalaibee, was released in 2015, and she last appeared in the 2021 picture Love Vaccine. Following her appearance in the 2022 Pakistani reality series Tamasha Ghar, which airs on ARY Digital and has a format akin to Bigg Boss, Humaira became more well-known. In the TV drama Esaan Faramosh, where her performance was well praised, she was last seen.

She received the National Woman Leadership Award for Best Emerging Talent & Rising Star in 2023. Sharing her gratitude on Instagram, she said, "This award means so much to me, not just as an individual, as a qualified artist, actress, but as a symbol of what women can achieve and support to thrive if they are given the best opportunities." The realization of their true potential will unleash authenticity and boundless energy, allowing Pakistan to shine both at home and abroad at all times.

Humaira wasn't very active on Instagram, even though she had a fan base of over 715,000 people there. On September 30, 2024, she made her last blog entry. Her Instagram bio stated that she was also a painter and sculptor and that she formerly uploaded videos that offered a glimpse into her fitness regimen.

The passing of Humaira Asghar

Police discovered Humaira's corpse in her apartment in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi, on Tuesday, Dawn reported. The police were there to carry out a court order to evacuate the apartment, according to DIG South. At 3:15 p.m., officers from the Gizri Police Station arrived at the scene. They broke into the apartment by force after receiving no answer at the door and discovered her dead.

Humaira had ceased paying rent since 2024, according to Mahzoor Ali of SSP South, which led the landlord to file a court application for eviction. Following a post-mortem, her body was transferred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center. The corpse had been there for several days and was in a "very advanced stage of decomposition," according to police surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed. Several famous people, such as Adnan Siddiqui, Hina Altaf, Amar Khan, and Mawra Hocane, have expressed their grief and surprise at her passing.
