Paige Spiranac, a model and golf influencer, has never been hesitant to criticize her detractors, who demand that she adhere to a specific dress code when playing the game. The 32-year-old responded to critics of her attire in an interview with People magazine, advising followers to be proud of their appearance.
Spiranac said, "When I talk about that, I try to embrace who I am." She has advised people to "wear what you want to wear" and do whatever you want to do. People quoted Spiranac as saying that, for her, that means "wearing things that are a little bit more sexy, more form-fitting, but also just finding your own individual style."
Spiranac had previously said that the majority of her attire was tight-fitting because she began her athletic career as a gymnast. Spiranac told People that she was "always forced to wear something that didn't feel comfortable" after she became professional. Thus, she began wearing leggings and tank tops, which sparked a debate over "just people upset about no collar, and what I was wearing, and disrespecting the game, and also just exposing my body."
Spiranac doesn't want little girls to "grow up feeling insecure about their body." Spiranac said that because she is an athlete, she loves everything she wears and feels "very comfortable" in it. "They should be proud of their body, especially with how much hard work they put into it when they're eating right and working out," she added.
On July 21, Spiranac went to the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2. In the sports comedy picture directed by Kyle Newacheck, which is released on Friday, July 25, she makes a notable cameo alongside other elite golfers. Along with Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Benny Safdie, Bad Bunny, and Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler plays the main role in the picture.
When Spiranac participated in the Mountain West Conference, she was recognized as one of the best golfers from San Diego State University. Later, though, according to Fox News, she chose a different direction and rose to prominence as one of the most popular sports figures on social media.
Previously, she was married to Steven Tinoco, an athletic trainer. In 2022, the former couple separated.
Her total income is $2 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Instagram has four million of Spiranac's followers.
