As reported by Buzzfeed, Munn told other industry experts that a director from The Newsroom, which aired from 2012 to 2014, called her 'late' and 'combative' during the June 30 episode of the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard, but she didn't name the director. Throughout the three seasons of the Aaron Sorkin-created series, Munn portrayed the economist Sloan Sabbith.
