A video from the infamous 2018 gala, which has just been discovered, clearly shows pop star Rihanna strolling by an overly thrilled SZA, who is ignored in front of the cameras. As you might expect, the incident still has the attention of fans many years after it took place.

Was Rihanna rude to SZA on the Met steps?

In a recent social media video, RiRi is seen passing by as SZA attempts to follow behind and get the pop star's attention, much to her own chagrin. Many fans are unsure if this was an honest error or a deliberate snub on Rihanna's part. The post's caption said, "Oou Rihanna where?" as Rihanna continued to ignore SZA.

The footage shows SZA fanboying behind Rihanna and chasing after the pop star on the red carpet in an effort to keep up with her as she walks through the cameras, unfazed by any calls. Given Rihanna's situation and the demands on her as co-chair of the gala that year with Donatella Versace and Amal Clooney, it would be wise to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe that this was just an error that was lost in the shuffle.

The two pop stars previously worked together on their hit song "Consideration," which they sang at the 2016 BRIT Awards.

But the obviously uncomfortable exchange has drawn a lot of attention from fans.
