In March, Bollywood star Nushrratt Bharuccha walked the runway for NIF Global: The Runway at Lakmé Fashion Week 2025. The event was captured in a video that went viral online, showing the actor stepping aside a fellow model on the runway. She faced a lot of criticism on social media. Nushrratt has now addressed the situation in an interview with Yuvaa.

In the video in question, Nushrratt is seen pushing another model aside in order to create room for herself in the middle of the runway. Nushrratt smiled at the girl she pushed out of the way when she arrived to the end of the ramp, where the models were posing. A few seconds later, she requested two more girls to stand next to her, effectively blocking the previous model from sight. Nushrratt's behavior on the runway came under fire after the video, with many people charging her of "showing attitude."

In response to criticism of her runway walk video, Nushrratt replies

In response to the criticism and in defense of her conduct, Nushrratt stated that "She wasn't even a model—she was one of the designers, one of the children from the NIF class, who didn't know about ramp shows or center stage. What should I have done? From behind the scenes, I was instructed, "Please make your space and take your position." There was loud music, and she was standing in the middle. Therefore, how do I make room? Every model who walks understands that you walk to center stage, then turn and walk back; don't try to be a showstopper. That's simple.

In the interim, Nushrratt was last seen in Vishal Furia's horror picture Chhorii 2. The movie, which stars Soha Ali Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Saurabh Goyal in supporting roles, is a sequel to Chhorii (2021). It was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Jack Davis. The absence of jump scares disappointed some viewers, despite the acclaim Soha and Nushrratt received for their acting. Prime Video offers the movie for viewing. The follow-up project for Nushrratt has not yet been revealed.
