After remarks made by Mukesh Khanna sparked new conjecture, Ranveer Singh's crew verified that he is not creating a new series based on the legendary superhero Shaktimaan.

Rumor started by Mukesh Khanna's interview

Recent rumors claim that Ranveer Singh is purportedly in discussions to create a new series based on the character Shaktimaan, carrying on the Shaktimaan legacy. These rumors began to circulate after an interview where Khanna, who played the original Shaktimaan on the Doordarshan show in the 1990s, claimed that Singh had expressed a strong interest in playing the superhero.

However, the Singh camp now disputes everything. The rumor that the actor has purchased the rights to produce a new superhero movie (Shaktimaan) is untrue, according to a statement from his management. He is working on both Don 3 and Aditya Dhar's upcoming film, Dhurandar, which he is now filming.

Ranveer Singh's personal interest in portraying Shaktimaan is remembered by Mukesh Khanna.

Singh had previously spoken with Siddharth Kannan and attempted to persuade him to play Shaktiman, as Khanna told him. At a meeting organized by Sony, the actor attempted to convince him that he was capable of playing Shaktimaan. The position had previously caught Singh's attention.

According to Khanna, the three-hour discussion ended without a conclusion. Singh attempted to convince him that he would make a good Shaktiman, but the meeting was fruitless.

Singh may be a better candidate for the role of the series' villain, Khanna suggested in a thought-provoking way. He said that the actor should have portrayed the legendary villain of the television series, Tamraj Kilvish, rather than Shaktimaan.

Aditya Chopra's group had earlier shown interest in acquiring the rights.

Furthermore, he said that acquiring franchise rights was not the project's primary goal. Ten years ago, Aditya Chopra's staff inquired about the possibility of acquiring the rights to Shaktiman. Around the same time, a picture of Ranveer Singh dressed as Shaktimaan surfaced online. Rather than grant them the rights, Khanna proposed that they collaborate. He hoped it wouldn't turn into a disco drama.

It is now unclear what will happen to Shaktimaan in the movies since Singh has officially distanced himself from the endeavor.
