In a recent interview, actress Nithya Menen discussed taking on roles that enable her to accomplish things she would not be able to do otherwise, such as live in a village or handle cow manure with her bare hands. She told Cinema Vikatan in an interview that she had cow dung in her fingernails when receiving the National Award, which she described as "amazing."

In the interview, Nithya stated that she wants to play characters that allow her to live life and experience new things. "I learned how to prepare cow manure cakes for Idly Kadai. They inquired as to whether I would be willing to do it, and I said yes, without a doubt. Therefore, I was taught how to roll and round them up for the first time in my life, using only my bare hands as an example.

She also mentioned that she filmed a scene with feces just before she left for Delhi for the National Awards, saying, " In fact, the day before I had to go for the National Awards, I was doing this scene. When I went to receive my National Award, I had cow excrement in my fingernails, which was incredible. Right? It's really gorgeous. This is life. The range of experiences this movie offered me was something I really appreciated. I wouldn't have the chance to do this any other way.

Regarding Idly Kadai

Dhanush plays the protagonist in Idly Kadai, which he also wrote, directed, and co-produced. In addition to Nithya, the film also features Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, Rajkiran, and P. Samuthirakani. The movie, with music by GV Prakash Kumar, will be shown in theaters on October 1st. After winning a National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the 2022 film Thiruchitrambalam, this is Nithya's second collaboration with Dhanush.
