"Cierra Ortega has left the villa due to a personal situation, leaving Nic officially single," Iain Stirling, the narrator of Love Island USA, stated during Episode 30 of Season 7. However, what sent supporters into a tizzy was Nic Vansteenberghe's response, or lack thereof.

In a previous episode, Nic and Cierra had just decided to be an exclusive couple. As a result, after breakfast, she abruptly left with minimal explanation, leading many to anticipate Nic to be upset or, at the very least, to pause before moving on.

Fans were unmoved by Nic's indifferent reaction on camera

My head was clear just before Cierra departed. "I knew what the future would be like, but now I'm lost," Nic said.

"Well, I think now that my strongest connection has gone there's like, you know, I'll just figure it out from here," he said to the boys.

"These are real sentiments and emotions at the end of the day," his buddy Pepe said in an attempt to reassure him.

"I wasn't expecting this." I'm not sure, Nic added, sounding emotionally uncommitted.

The whiplash was genuine for the audience

"Due to a personal circumstance, Cierra departed the villa." "I AM SCREAMING!" wrote one supporter. "Nic is just evil and so damn in love with olandria mind you the last time he smiled like that was in ep 21, since that day we've never seen him that happy," said another. He never liked Cierra, omigosh.

"Nic didn't even react sensibly," one user said.

Nic reestablished contact with Olandria Carthen only a few minutes after Cierra left. I could, however, be there for you during this time of need. Olandria gave her support, no matter what that may look like to you. "That person would be you," Nic said simply.

Nic appeared to have completely moved on by the end of the show. "From the moment I met him, I've been in love with him. I am really looking forward to living the rest of my life with this individual. During the recoupling, Olandria stated, "The youngster I would want to pair up with is Nic."

Nic then gave her a kiss on the hand at the dock.
