The Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam film is now anticipated to arrive on Netflix sooner than the agreed time, though, as the results of Thug Life have been underwhelming.

One of the most anticipated Tamil movies of the year was Thug Life, which featured Kamal Haasan and was directed by Mani Ratnam. But after failing to wow the viewers, the movie received unfavorable reviews and poor box office results. As a result, sources claim that Netflix may be considering eliminating the eight-week window between the OTT release.

In a media event prior to the release of Thug Life, the Papanasam actor announced that Netflix has agreed to premiere the movie after an eight-week theatrical run. Additionally, he said that it is a "pragmatic thing to do" that will improve the health of the sector. However, the film was not well received by the public after its release. The box office is also not doing well. As a result, Netflix is said to be contemplating ending the eight-week arrangement. Discussions are currently taking place to have the movie debut soon. The official launch date is still unknown.
