Shah Rukh Khan made a name for himself in television series like Fauji before establishing himself as the king of romance with films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge, Devdas, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Navjot Singh Sidhu recounted his chat with the Magic Moments YouTube channel, during which he told SRK that he was going to Bollywood and shared the superstar's harsh reaction.

After a game in Lucknow, Sidhu recalled meeting SRK, who was acting like a fanboy, but in return, he told him that he watched TV to see him in Circus and Fauji. "He's a big star," Sidhu remembered answering when Kapil Dev questioned him about who SRK was.

Sidhu remembers cautioning Shah Rukh Khan about Bollywood

Sidhu then recalled asking SRK about his plans for the future and how he cautioned him about pursuing a career in Bollywood. "Sir, I'm heading to Bollywood," he stated. ‘Teri mat maari gayi hai? (Have you lost your mind?)’ I asked him. I told him, ‘you need parents there, you need someone who can support you. Your parents aren’t there, you just told me’. He said, "Sidhu saab, I will manage." "There's cutthroat competition there. They will eat you like a sausage for breakfast," I replied. "I said that to him exactly," Sidhu stated.

Then, recounting SRK's reply to his warning, he stated, "SRK said, 'Sidhu saab, can I say something?' He told me, 'I don't compete with anyone. I'm competing against myself. He is a really courteous individual. He was extremely courteous, and he still is. ‘SRK is the only guy who is not insecure,’ stated Abhishek Bachchan when he appeared on our program. The only person who cannot be insecure is the one who understands that he is like the Himalaya mountain and that nothing can harm him. He remained in this state.
