The pop legend has been around for decades. The youngest self-made female billionaire in the world has been Taylor Swift. At the age of 33, she became a billionaire in 2023, and she has maintained that position ever since. However, she has since been overthrown, and not by a member of the entertainment industry. The 30-year-old college dropout, who is as well-known for her self-described workaholism as for her hard-partying lifestyle, is the new record holder.
The youngest self-made billionaire in the world
With a net worth of $1.3 billion, as estimated by Forbes' list of America's Richest Self-Made Women, published on Wednesday, Lucy Guo, the founder of AI, is currently the youngest self-made female billionaire in the world at the age of 30. This occurred after a recent transaction valued ScaleAI, the business she established with Alexandr Wang when she was 21, at $25 billion.
The New York Post reports that Lucy, the daughter of Chinese immigrants, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she learned to code at a young age in middle school. She quit Carnegie Mellon University when she won a $100,000 entrepreneurship award supported by billionaire investor Peter Thiel. After conflicts with her co-founder, she was terminated from ScaleAI, but she retained her 5% ownership in the company, making her a billionaire.

Other female billionaires who are still young
One of the youngest female billionaires in the world is Taylor Swift. As of June 2025, the 35-year-old's net worth is $1.6 billion, as estimated by Forbes. Rihanna, a 37-year-old billionaire and Barbadian musician, is worth $1 billion.

In September 2024, Selena Gomez was said to be a billionaire. At 32 years old, she would have been the youngest self-made female billionaire. Forbes, however, later changed her net worth to $700 million. When Kylie Jenner said in 2020 that she had surpassed the billion-dollar barrier at the age of 2020, Forbes previously referred to her as the youngest self-made billionaire. However, much as with Selena, her billionaire position was revoked due to the financial irregularities in her enterprises. According to reports, Kylie is currently worth $700 million.
