The half-sister of supermodel siblings Gigi and Bella Hadid was unknown to them until 2023. The Hadid sisters identified 23-year-old aspiring designer Aydan Nix as their half-sister in a statement to the Daily Mail, outlining how they first met.

Aydan is the child of Terri Hatfield Dull and Mohamed Hadid, the father of Gigi and Bella. The sisters disclosed in their statement that Mohamed and Terri's "brief romance" led to their sister's birth. With a "man she lovingly knew as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19," Aydan was born and raised in Florida. After his passing, out of curiosity, she underwent a genetic test, which revealed that she had always been a Hadid by blood. The sisters met Aydan in 2023 after she recently graduated from the Parsons School of Design in Manhattan.

"She's spent time with all of us, including our dad, and we've cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family," they said in their statement. Our sibling relationship has allowed us to have many open and loving conversations, including ones with Aydan, about how to best support and safeguard her. We respect Aydan and her family's need for solitude. As she lives her life as a young woman in New York, we respectfully request that others follow suit by respecting her desire for anonymity.

The connection between Aydin Nix and Mohamed Hadid

According to the media, Mohamed and Terri broke up before he learned that she was expecting a child. Nevertheless, he purportedly 'always knew' she existed and had 'not provided' her any financial assistance over the years. The book stated that Mohamed and Aydan had a "cordial relationship," and that he was expected to attend her graduation in May, but he did not. He has not made any public statements about her.
