After more than a month since the death of her father, Priyanka Chopra's cousin and actor Mannara Chopra has at last spoken up. She has released her first statement, in which she thanks everyone who has supported her during this difficult period.

On Instagram, Mannara provides an update

Mannara thanked her supporters and fans on Instagram on Thursday for helping her through the trying moment and giving her the latest news. Mannara has stated that she has been making steady progress and has already returned to her job.

In the letter, she expressed her gratitude for the love and support she and her family have received during these difficult times.

With appreciation in my heart, I am now getting back to work," the letter continued.

Her supporters and well-wishers united behind her, expressing their affection for her in the comments section. Her cousin Priyanka also appreciated the article.

One person wrote, "You're the strongest," while another said, "Stay strong my girl...love you...God bless you."

Concerning the demise of Mannara's father

On June 16, Mannara Chopra lost her father, Raman Rai Handa. At age 72, he passed away. At that time, the family released a formal statement via social media, along with information about the cremation ceremony. "We report the sad demise of our loving father, who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025, with deep grief and sorrow," the official statement said. "He was the pillar of strength for our family."

From the cremation ceremony, where Mannara and her sister Mitali Handa were seen crying as they said their last goodbye to their father, numerous videos of them surfaced on social media.

He practiced law at the Delhi High Court. He was married to Kamini Chopra, Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra's paternal aunt. Families would frequently get together for holidays, birthdays, and other special events. Raman Rai Handa is survived by his wife, Kamini Chopra Handa, and daughters Mannara and Mitali.
