Raman Rai Handa, the father of Mannara Chopra, an actress and the cousin of Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra, died on June 16 at the age of 72. Along with information about the cremation service, Mannara posted the sad announcement on social media.

Mannara Chopra's father passes away at 72

Mannara posted an official statement on her Instagram story that said, "With profound grief and sorrow, we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family." Kamini Chopra Handa, his wife, and daughters Mannara and Mitali survive Raman Rai Handa. On June 18 at 1 PM, his funeral will take place at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai.

Raman Handa was a lawyer at the Delhi High Court. He was wed to Kamini Chopra, the fatherly aunt of Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra. Families frequently gathered for significant events, birthdays, and festivals. As per Times Raman had been ill for a few days for unspecified reasons.

Regarding Mannara Chopra

Mannara's Bollywood debut was in the unsuccessful film Zid. She then switched to the South Indian film industry, where she starred in movies like Sita, Rogue, and Thikka.

Mannara gained popularity after finishing as the second runner-up in Salman Khan's reality competition Bigg Boss 17, even if she didn't take home the trophy. She also participated in the reality cooking show Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment Season 2, which featured Elvish Yadav, Rubina Dilaik, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Vicky Jain, Ankita Lokhande, Abhishek Kumar, and many more.

She co-starred with Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra in the 2024 Telugu movie Tiragabadara Saami, where she was last seen. She will next appear in the Punjabi movie Ohi Chann Ohi Raatan.
