The speculations surrounding actor Mahhi Vij's marriage to Jay Bhanushali have finally been addressed by her. Despite ongoing rumors of problems in their relationship and speculation about divorce, Mahhi maintained that she doesn't feel the need to respond to the gossip.

In the Male Feminist podcast, Mahhi discussed her personal life as well as the rumor that she is about to get a divorce.

"Why should I tell you even if it is true? Are you my uncle? Are you going to cover my legal expenses? Why do individuals treat a divorce or separation as if it were such a big deal? In my comments area, I see people saying things like, "Mahi toh decent hai, Jay aisa hai" (She is decent, but Jay is not). Then someone else says, "Jay accha hai, Mahi hi aise hai" (Jay is good, but she is not). Do you even know the truth; they simply want to place blame? What do you know? she said.

"People view divorces and single moms very differently here," the performer continued. They expect that now that the situation is going to become a major issue, the two will begin hurling mud at one another in a dramatic showdown. I believe there is a great deal of societal pressure. With her performances as Nakusha in Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Nandini in Balika Vadhu, Mahhi rose to fame. In 2011, she wed the actor Jay Bhanushali. They became foster parents to a boy named Rajveer and a girl named Khushi in 2017. In 2019, the pair had their first biological kid, a girl they named Tara.

In 2013, Jay and Mahhi took first place in the dancing reality competition Nach Baliye 5. She has also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4. Additionally, she has appeared in a number of music videos.
