The buzz in industry circles is that Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep will be in the news a lot over the next few days. For starters, the first press conference for Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 is happening on June 30, 2025, with the expectation that Sudeep will return to host the show despite a very public goodbye at the end of Season 11. And then, later in the week, by July 5, the focus will turn to his next film. Sudeep is currently on a schedule break from his big-budget ambitious project Billa Ranga Baashaa with Anup Bhandari.

Sudeep will formally announce a movie with the well-known production company Satya Jyoti Films, which is expected to be another collaboration with Max filmmaker Vijay Kartikeyaa, according to reports. Following the success of Max, the filmmaker had previously announced a few months prior that he will be collaborating with Sudeep on another movie, but he was unsure at the time if it will be a sequel to the film, given that the character description of Arjun Mahakshay allows for several storylines that align with the events that have led to his suspension.

However, some online users argue that Sudeep's current appearance, complete with a full beard and longer hair, would not be suitable for another film in the Max series. The filmmaker is unable to replicate the explanation of Max's hair because he was on the verge of being reactivated the following day and had not yet had a haircut.

The new announcement is in keeping with Sudeep’s resolution to do more than one film at a time and have movies out in theatres in quicker succession. During the promotions of Max, he had said he was looking at having at least 2 films ready in 18 months’ time. While it took a while to get Billa Ranga Baashaa on the road, now that he is on schedule break, the actor intends to make good use of the this free time and get started on another project.
