In the upcoming months, the Kannada megastar has a hectic schedule. Given that it is a story set in the far future and, as a result, needs world building, he has already begun production on Billa Ranga Baashaa, which is now on hold for set work. He is also beginning a new movie with Max director Vijay Kartikeyaa on July 7, 2025, which he expects to be released in theaters this December.

Amid juggling the schedules of both Billa Ranga Baashaa and the as-yet-untitled #Kiccha47 with Sathya Jyothi Films, Sudeep also has the responsibility of hosting Bigg Boss Kannada. Well, only days ago, Sudeep had confirmed that he is returning to the popular reality show that he’s been hosting since Day 1, but had bid adieu to after Season 11. The actor and the showrunners apparently ironed out whatever issues there were that prompted his exit and he will be back at the helm, with a 4-year contract.

Bigg Boss Kannada 12 to start by end of September 2025

Sudeep’s immediate condition, though, was that Bigg Boss Kannada 12 could not be started as early as the team was hoping to. He’d asked them to push it ahead by 3-4 weeks and on July 5, at the official announcement of his film with Vijay, the superstar revealed that the 12th season will begin by the end of September only.

Sudeep fans have been divided over his decision to return to the Bigg Boss Kannada fold, given that in the last couple of years, the actor-host had difficulty reining in particular contestants, while the quality of the show also suffered following the departure of Parameshwar Gundkal from the channel.

Sudeep had been quite outspoken the previous year about the strain he experienced balancing the filming of one movie, Max, with the weekend installments of Bigg Boss Kannada 11. As the movie was filmed exclusively in Mahabalipuram with a large number of night schedules, he frequently lacked sleep prior to the Bigg Boss shoot, which was negatively impacting his health.

It appears that the actor's schedule will be just as hectic because he will be traveling between cities or within Bengaluru, which is a nightmare in and of itself, as well as spending time in Chennai for Vijay's movie and on the outskirts of Bengaluru for Billa Ranga Baashaa.
